WELCOME TO THE 2020 GOLDEN PIGTAIL SMUT AWARDS

I’m your Sommelier of  Smut for the evening, Alexa Sommers, and I’ll be bringing you the blow by blow of this years awards live from the frozen tundra of my living room.

We went all out this year, rolled out the red carpet (yes it even matches the drapes) and put on our best corset just for you, the fans. 

This year’s Golden Pigtails received over 100 nominations by some of the best erotic authors in the field and I am proud to say that titles such as “Daddies Dark Taboo Fetish VOL 23” did not make the list despite spending the year dominating Amazon’s Lesbian Fiction Ranks.

It would appear our fans have taste! (or that Felicity Fell is finally making some head… way)

Votes were cast by over 600 unique voters for a total of over 5000 votes across 11 Categories and some of the races were EXTREMELY close… tied to the same chair, better be using protection close.

We also received thousands of late night mysterious mail in ballots but you can rest assured that only those also accompanied by denominations of 20’s or higher were counted.

Enough about that, let’s take about me…. err… I mean the awards. The Author of each winning title will receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card and the top three stories win the right to use they Gold, Silver and Bronze Pigtails seals on their cover or marketing.

The 2020 Rookie Smut Star (a race that was within 5 votes until only a couple hours before the polls closed) will $50 Amazon Gift Card and a Customized Golden Pigtail Seal. Since no one showed up to my living room to claim their awards (despite promises of debauchery and wine) we will be reaching out to winners in the next 24 hours.

So… enough with the explanations it’s time to Level Up this awards ceremony and get to the results.

The “Everything’s Better in a Group” Award for Best Erotic Anthology

There are some absolutely amazing compilations nominated for this category…

The “All Tied up At the Moment” Award for BDSM Erotica

This race was EXTREMELY close with only 3 votes separating 1st and 2nd.

The “Wanna Watch?” Award for Cuckold/Hotwife Erotica

Not unlike the ropes that are holing hubby to the chair, this race was very tight with only 4 votes between 1st and 2nd.

1st Place with 35% of the Vote

The “Drop the Mic it’s Time to Flyte” Award for Erotic Poetry

So close, this race was so damn tight, drop the mic it’s time to Flyte.

1 Vote separated the winner and runner up for best erotic poetry.

The “Hitachi Magic Wand” Award for Fantasy/Sci-Fi Erotica

Superheroes, Space and Fantastical beings battled it out for this one.

 

And the Winners are:

2nd Place with 22.9% of the Vote

1st Place with 37.4% of the Vote

The “All Love” Award for LGBTQ+ Erotica

Not a single “Daddies Dark Dom 47” Entry and still this was a battle from the start to the finish. All three of these book are within 9 votes.

The “Tickler” Award for Parody/Comedy Erotica

Sexy stories with humor and poignant messages dominated this years nominations

The “Things That Go Hump in the Night” Award for Paranormal/Horror Erotica

While the winner clawed out a decent lead late in the polling only 2 votes stood between second and third place. Another great category.

1st Place with 27% of the Vote

The “Love at First Flog” Award for Romantic Erotica

These are the books that Leveled Up Romantic Erotica. Each so deserving of that title.

The “Any Excuse for Some Smut” Award for Holiday Themed Erotica

This vote switched hourly in the days leading up to the polls closing. With 10 minutes to go there was a tie for the lead, however 1 vote ended up standing between 1st and 2nd.
