WELCOME TO THE 2021 GOLDEN PIGTAIL SMUT AWARDS

I’m your Sommelier of Smut for the evening, Alexa Sommers, and I’ll be bringing you the results you’ve all been waiting for.

I assume all the nominees are spruced up in their best evening gowns, tuxedos and “borrowed” oversized hoodies, anxiously awaiting the results.

This year’s Golden Pigtails received over 200 nominations by some of the best erotic authors in the field and put one author’s curating skills, patience and ability to copy and paste to the test.

Votes were cast by over 980 unique voters for a total of over 14,000 votes across 15 Categories and still we had some categories close enough that they better be using protection.

We also received thousands of mysterious mail in ballots but you can rest assured that our integrity was never in question. Only those accompanied by sufficient monetary compensation were counted.

I want to send a HEARTFELT thank you to everyone who voted and all the nominees for helping to make this what it is. Without you, your work, your votes and your enjoyment of all these authors produce, we are nothing. The “Everything’s Better in a Group” Award for Best Erotic Anthology

This category was loaded with some amazing work from a large selection of authors. I’m a little biased here but thankfully I didn’t get to vote…

And the Winners are:

2nd Place with 17.5% of the Vote

1st Place with 24.8% of the Vote

The “All Tied up At the Moment” Award for BDSM Erotica

These authors worked hard to “whip” up votes and if anyone knows how to do it, it’s them.

1st Place with 33.9% of the Vote

The “Wanna Watch?” Award for Cuckold/Hotwife Erotica

This was a battle worth watching and we all know how much you like to watch.

The “Never Enough” Award for Harem/Reverse Harem Erotica

We should have awarded votes per partner in this one but alas only one can have the largest harem.

The “Drop the Mic it’s Time to Flyte” Award for Erotic Poetry

Remind me not to challenge these authors to a battle. My words are quick sick and I may spit ill but I’m not foolish enough to take the red pill.

1st Place with 37.2% of the Vote

The “Hitachi Magic Wand” Award for Fantasy/Sci-Fi Erotica

It doesn’t get much closer than this. If I didn’t know better I’d say there were some bunnies sacrificed to get these results. Someone really should have told these authors about the “bribe the curator” option.

Tied for 1st Place with 23.6% of the Vote

The “All Love” Award for LGBTQ+ Erotica

They may not be able to outrank “Daddies Taboo Orgy 15” on the Amazon charts (fix your shit Amazon) but these stories are #1 in the fan’s hearts.

1st Place with 42.9% of the Vote

The “Tickler” Award for Parody/Comedy Erotica

The one category I wish I was eligible for this year. I’ll just assume that Cucked by an Indie would have come in last like everything else about “Gerry C” and enjoy the stories that topped the vote.

The “Not Quite Depraved Enough” Award for Dark/Taboo Erotica

Some of these actually do get close to being depraved enough. Thankfully there are a lot of amazing perverts out there to read them.

The “Things That Go Hump in the Night” Award for Paranormal/Horror Erotica

This was a battle from start to finish. Thankfully these authors and their readers are clearly fearless.

The “Love at First Flog” Award for Romantic Erotica

We’re not sure what makes “some” of the stories nominated in this category “romantic” but who are we to gatekeep that particular grouping.

The “Any Excuse for Some Smut” Award for Holiday Themed Erotica

Despite being setup to vote split (thanks to a co-authored book), one author still managed to beat themselves by only a single vote and I think we can all agree we like watching her beat herself.

When you free up both hands, beautiful things happen. Thanks to these amazing narrators we are able to do just that.
